q & a

Q: How would you describe your style? PHOTOJOURNALISTIC? ARTISTIC? TRADITIONAL?

A: My main goal is to capture the story of the day, which is why I considered myself mostly a photojournalistic wedding photographer. However, I do incorporate some artistic and traditional styles. I love weddings that incorporate the outdoors, as I prefer to capture couples, their wedding party, and family in natural light. To add something a little special, I encourage couples to sneak out in the evening for a sunset or night image.

Q: How do we book you for our wedding date?

A: To reserve your wedding date, a signed contract and a $500 non-refundable retainer is required. Once your date is reserved, Amanda declines other inquires, thus all retainers are non-refundable. This fee will be credited toward your total cost.

Q: How do I get a copy of my digital wedding negatives?

A: Hi-resolution files are included in your wedding package.

Q: How many images will I have from my wedding?

A: I usually take at least 40-60 shots an hour as I am documenting the day. Most couples receive 500 plus images (based on 8 hours of coverage) of their wedding.

Q: Do we receive EVERY image you take?

A: When booking with me, you are trusting my creative judgment. Throughout the day I will take lighting/posing/composition tests. These images will not be included. In addition to removing these images, I also edit out images with eyes closed, a guest's flash firing, a guest moving in front of the frame, etc. Rest assured you will have full and comprehensive coverage of your wedding!

Q: Where are you based out of?

A: I am located in Newport, New Hampshire.

Q: Do you photograph families, babies, or maternity?

A: No, but I have a great referral for you! Simply e-mail me at or use the contact form on this site, and I would be happy to give you their information.

Q: Do you have insurance?

A: Yes, I have business liability insurance.

Q: How long have you been a professional photographer?

A: I have been working as a Professional Photographer since 2008.

Q: How long before I can view my on-line gallery?

A: Depending on how busy I am, the on-line gallery takes between 2-3 weeks.

Q: Who owns the copyrights to the photographs?

A: The copyrights of the photographs belong to the photographer. However, you will receive a personal use license. This will allow you to make reprints & enlargements at any on-line company or in-store lab. You may upload to social media sites (such as Facebook) as long as a line of credit is given to every image.

Q: Can I order prints through you?

A: Yes, you can order professional prints directly from your on-line gallery. You will receive a password from me, via e-mail, which will allow you access to your on-line gallery.
